Jazz North - Get More Gigs Seminar  

Please find details below for the Jazz North seminar on Monday. 

The event, aimed at professional jazz musicians with at least 3 years gigging experience, will focus on areas including booking gigs and relationships with promoters, jazz media and receiving press coverage, EPKs and more. It also provides a prime opportunity to network amongst industry professionals and other musicians.
This event is FREE to attend, but spaces are limited so to avoid disappointment we would ask participants to sign-up in advance via the form below.

This event is aimed at professional musicians with at least one year of gig experience and is also open to jazz promoters. This event is one of a series of free professional development training sessions for jazz musicians across the North of England featuring expert speakers in areas including marketing and PR, booking gigs, applying for funding and musician-led Collectives.

Seven Jazz Leeds Events  

Big Band Spectacular!

Lee Gibson and Ronnie Bottomley's Jazz Orchestra@Leeds Irish Centre 
Thursday evening 12 December 8pm

We’ve not been able to get everyone in to the last two gigs of Ronnie Bottomley’s popular 19 piece Jazz Orchestra at Seven Arts. So for our Christmas Party 2013 we’ll be moving to the Leeds Irish Centre on York Road, where we hope you will come and find us! If you do, you’ll get to see the wonderful Lee Gibson. Lee is a nationally and internationally acclaimed jazz singer who has delighted critics and fans alike with her wonderful voice; innate sense of swing and dynamic stage presence.

Festive Jazz@Inkwell Arts, Chapel Allerton 
Sunday afternoon 15 December 2013, 1-4pm

A chance to celebrate at Christmas with some Festive Jazz. We've asked some of your favourite musicians to come along and entertain you!!

There will be three bands, all of them originated in our Seven Jazz workshops, all featuring original material. They are

•    The Dom Moore Octet 
•    "Abtuse" featuring their new vocalist Becca McSharry 
•    Will Powell's "Short Stories"

Festive Jazz@Inkwell Arts on Sunday afternoon 15 December 2013, 1-4pm £7/£5 concessions, pay on the door, under sixteen's free. The doors open at 1pm, music starts 1.30-4pm.

Bejazzled and Mardi Gras Band Moved to Lady Anne's 

I recently recieved the bad news that the long running Thursday night gig at The Old White Swan had been cancelled. However, this gig was quickly relocated to Lady Anne Middleton's Hotel. Same bands, same time, same free entry so please get down there and support the evening when you can!
